Skinny Girls with a Fat Wallet ... Work in Progress!

January 24, 2018

There is something about the feeling you get when your child is happy. That being said, I broke my fast with a $150.00 Heyday sneaker purchase for my youngest daughter. As I write this I realize I have also broken my rule that “things” don’t make you happy.  I may have passed on my shopper euphoria to both of my daughters in addition to my charming wit.

The truth is that we are human, in that we need to reward or feel rewarded. Sometimes it is for us. Sometimes it is for the ones we love. I guess it goes back to balance. I would like to blame the fact that because I am on a food cleanse I had to splurge on my financial side. If only I were paid to concoct excuses I would be quite successful.

Today is day one-take two with an update to my original fast. Today is a balanced approach with money and food. No Nordstrom but a little Marshalls & No sugar but a little fruit. This way my pocketbook will grow as my thighs shrink. This is my skinny girls guide to money…no guilt but plenty of opportunity.
